Fishing ground and performance of fishing right
Zavřel, Zbyněk ; Damohorský, Milan (advisor) ; Sobotka, Michal (referee)
Fishing ground and performance of fishing right The topic of the thesis is the fishing ground and performance of fishing right. The thesis describes and analyses the current legal regulation of these institutes, identifies its shortages, and tries to present de lege ferenda proposals. In the case of some institutes, it also offers a comparison with the legislation, which is in force in Slovakia. The thesis briefly summarises the historical development of the legal regulation of fisheries in the current territory of Czech Republic. It focuses on issues related to fishing grounds, such as the conditions for declaring, changing or withdrawal them, or the conditions for declaring a protected fishery area. For this purpose, it also pursues to the distinction between the different bodies of surface water envisaged by the legislation. Subsequently the thesis examines issues relating to the performance of the fishing right, it particular the conditions for its authorisation, amendment, or withdrawal, and also the regulation of the procedural practices of the authority of the state fisheries administration in authorising the performance of the fishing right. It also deals with its content, i. e. fisheries management in the fishing ground. In this context, it examines especially the rights and duties of the...
The Greenlandic Journey towards Sovereignty: the Role of the European Union in this Process
Novotný, Dominik ; Váška, Jan (advisor) ; Svobodný, Petr (referee)
This thesis researches the role of the European Union in the Greenlandic journey towards economic self-sufficiency and political sovereignty. The main goal of the thesis is to interpret the position of EU as a foreign partner of Nuuk. The author concentrates on three main areas. The first one is fishery, the sector which is currently of the greatest importance to the country's economy and on the grounds of which Greenland left the structures of the European integration. This area was also fundamental for the shaping of the original form of the EU- Greenlandic relations. The second area is the extraction of Greenlandic natural resources, which in future might be the potential source of Greenlandic economic self-sufficiency; however this will not be possible without foreign investments. The third area is the political framework of sovereignty-seeking efforts within the country, the entire Danish realm and in the global context. This paper is a compilation thesis supplemented by author's interpretations of primary sources. In the thesis the author confirms his hypothesis that the EU even after Greenland left the EEC represents a fundamental aspect for the development of Greenland toward full independence.
Spatial agent-based models of common pool resources
Vach, Dominik ; Gregor, Martin (advisor) ; Červinka, Michal (referee)
This thesis examines the application of the spatial aspect applied in the com- petitive models in the context of the natural resource economics. At first, the spatial models are thoroughly derived in one dimension. Then also their general properties such as the choice of the agents' location or their payoff function are examined. These properties are investigated for various distri- butions of the resource, and therefore they depend also on their parameters. The Nash equilibrium and local stability conditions are derived for the basic setups. In the second part, these competitive models are numerically tested also in a two-dimensional space. One of the results also suggests, that in the setup where the players have perfect information, the beginning player is not necessarily always better off than the second player. Throughout the entire thesis it is also comprehensively examined whether the existence of corners of the strategy space has an impact on the existence of the competition which was successfully demonstrated on several cases. JEL Classification Q20, Q22, C62, C68, C72 Keywords spatial models, natural resource exploitation, Nash equilibrium, fishery, computer simulations Author's e-mail vach.dominik@gmail.com Supervisor's e-mail martin.gregor@fsv.cuni.cz 1
Development of water law in Czech lands before 1914
Urban, Michael ; Kindl, Vladimír (advisor) ; Soukup, Ladislav (referee)
The purpose of this thesis was to capture the development of legal regulation of the Czech water law and of water-law relationships, and to point out that miller's law, fisheries law and navigation law are naturally related to the water law. Water transport and handling were not regulated in any manner in the most ancient times. The Czech water law was built on the heritage of the Roman legal culture. From the end of the 10th century, the first mentions of water-law relationships can be found, particularly in monarch's charters. The first important legal regulations related to water included the Mining Code (Ius Regale Montanorum) by king Wenceslas II of 1300-1305 and the Code Maiestas Carolina by king Charles IV, which was not implemented in practice, though. The so called lawbooks are another significant resource for understanding legal regulations related to water. Elements of a complex legal regulation with statewide legal force started to be applied from the end of the 15th and in the course of the 16th century - a number of municipal establishments and the code of municipal law created by Pavel Kristián of Koldín. A considerable boom of legal regulations with respect to all aspects of water-law relationships was seen during the reign of Maria Theresia and Joseph II (the navigation patent,...

Ekologie a početnost populace volavky popelavé (Ardea cinerea) v Moravskoslezském kraji. Hnízdní kolonie volavky popelavé v Karviné-Dolech
Slezská ornitologická společnost, Ostrava ; Mandák, Martin ; Polášek, Zdeněk
Volavka popelavá Ardea cinerea Linnaeus, 1758 z řádu brodiví (Ciconiiformes) a čeledi volavkovití (Ardeidae) je nejen v České republice pronásledovaným ptačím druhem.
